Forest Creatures

 This painting, Forest Creatures was a sort of an experiment, I really wanted to paint something with more vibrant colors and not as dark subject. Designing those characters was really fun.

This is Melisandre, from George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series. She is a very interesting and unique character and I always wanted to paint my own version of her. Carice van Houten, the actress who portrays her on Game of Thrones does a fantastic job, but this is not how imagined Melisandre while i was reading the novels.

This last painting is called "If i had a heart", Like the Fever Ray song. It started as a speed painting for a challenge, but I just cant stay away from rendering cloth. I love painting it so much, so i finished this. It took significantly less time than the other paintings, too.

I decided I want to share some studies I did on this blog too. Those are the most recent master studies I did. Just a few short hours each. It's an extremely good exercise I can't recommend enough.
